It takes many servants to keep the ministries of FUMC-HP alive! You can serve as a usher, greeter, liturgist, communion server, or front desk volunteer. Front Desk Volunteers
Front Desk Volunteers welcome guests and visitors, answers the phone, and provides general information regarding the church. Please contact the church office if you are interested in volunteering at the front desk.
Fellowship Friends walk with new members as they enter into the life of the church. They connect with the new members, offer prayer and support, and help them to get acquainted to FUMC-HP. Contact a pastor if interested in serving as a Fellowship Friend.
We hold Parson's Table twice a year, coinciding with the International Furniture Market. During the spring and fall markets, over 100 volunteers prepare and serve homemade sandwiches, salads, soups and desserts to hungry market goers in the downtown area of High Point. Serve in 8:30 or 10:55am Worship

Assist Pastors with serving communion elements during designated worship services. Servers work in pairs.
Greeters welcome folks to each worship service. We hope to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere by greeting folks as they arrive to worship.
Ushers welcome folks to worship, assist in providing seating and collection of offering.
Lay Readers participate in the worship service by reading the assigned scripture passage(s).
An acolyte is a child or youth in 5th-12th grade who helps the Pastor during the worship service. An acolyte lights and extinguishes altar candles and helps with baptisms and communion.
Whether you are gifted at singing or playing a musical instrument, we can find a place for you to offer your gifts during worship. For more music opportunities, see our music page.
We provide a nursery for any activity that goes on at our church. We understand that if we provide loving and consistent childcare, parents are better able to participate in activities provided by our church. All nursery volunteers are asked to attend a CPR and Safe Sanctuaries training.
