Wesley Hudson

Director of Music and Organist


Wesley Hudson has been the Organist at First United Methodist, High Point since June 2012. He is a versatile organist, pianist and guitarist with a special interest in preserving the heritage of traditional music while also exploring contemporary worship music. Wesley is well-versed in Presbyterian, Methodist and Moravian music and brings a breadth of musical interests and abilities to his playing including jazz, bluegrass and rock. He is a patient and knowledgeable instructor with over 25 years of experience as a private piano and guitar teacher.

Wesley received his Bachelor of Arts from Lynchburg College in Virginia in 1992 and earned his Master of Fine Arts from North Carolina School of the Arts in 1997, graduating Cum Laude in both instances. Before coming to First United Methodist, High Point, Wesley was Organist at Friedland Moravian Church in Winston-Salem.
