Some of our fondest memories are of times gathered around the table for meals with family and friends.
Throughout his ministry, Jesus often gathered with others around a table, too, sharing meals that brought forth moments of teaching and connection. It was at the table that he taught about forgiveness, justice, love, and servanthood.
First Church’s spring sermon series, Table Talk, will delve into the significance of these meals, uncovering the deeper meanings behind the bread broken, the wine poured, and the conversations had.
Come to the table. Let’s talk.
TABLE TALK SMALL GROUPS
feeding our faith • nourishing our fellowship
It’s time to gather around the table with your church family! FUMC is excited to introduce Table Talk: a monthly small group where we can come around the table to talk faith and experience fellowship - just as Jesus did.
These Table Talk gatherings of around 8 people can be of any nature, take place anywhere, and at any time that the group decides. Perhaps your group will meet for pizza in the park, ice cream at Mayberry’s, or a cup of coffee at Simple Blend. So long as fellowship and connection are at the heart of the gathering, all will be fed at the Table!
You will meet with your group once a month for 4 months. Then a new round of registration will begin and all new groups will be formed - a wonderful chance to get to know more people in your church family!
Groups are open to FUMC guests and members, alike - ALL are welcome at the Table!
Register via the button below by no later than April 21. Group assignments will be communicated shortly after.
